John Werthmann - Drums, Guitar, Bass, Ukulele

John has over a decade of experience teaching students of all ages. He’ll teach any music his students want to learn, and you’ll even have the opportunity to show off your skills to your family and friends at the annual Summer Jam Concert in Burbank, CA!

John’s philosophy is that learning music is easy when music lessons are fun!

John became inspired to start this business as a music student in college, when he began teaching private lessons. He loves meeting new people, building relationships, and helping musicians grow, passing on his musical passion and knowledge to new musicians. And he loves learning about his students’ lives and figuring out how playing music can become part of their personality.

Matt Saunders - Guitar, Bass & Ukulele

Matt is a guitarist and bassist from Marin County, California, and has been playing since he was eight years old. He graduated from UCLA in 2018 and began his musical career, teaching, touring and playing gigs around LA. He was raised in a musical family, performing regularly by the age of thirteen, so he loves teaching kids and giving them confidence that they can do it!

Juan Diego Patiño Restrepo - Piano, Drums, Guitar, Ukulele

Mr. Diego is a multi-instrumentalist with years of experience teaching guitar, drums, ukulele and piano to children and adults of all musical levels. He most recently was a private instructor for various academic entities, including Los Angeles Film College and Musicians Institute.

Mr. Diego was born and raised in Colombia and started his journey of music at the age of 10. As soon as he graduated high school he began touring as a professional drummer and musical arranger, while still working on his major in Music Performance at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. After graduating he continued his touring and recording career as a freelance musician for 2 years until he decided to go back to the Los Angeles Film College and pursue a second Bachelor’s in Music Production with a minor in Audio Engineering. 

Shortly after graduating from his second Bachelor’s program, he began working as a teacher assistant at the very same Los Angeles Film College and developed an extensive list of private students. 

Currently Mr. Diego plays in multiple worship bands, records for artists all around the world from his studio in Hollywood, performs at live shows all around the West Coast in the weekends, and tends to all his private students. Mr. Diego is a very positive and committed instructor that loves to go above and beyond for his students. He believes everyone deserves an education tailored to their interests. He teaches in both English and Spanish.


Karen Moreno - Drums, Piano

Karen is a drummer, pianist and composer from Mexico. She started her musical journey from an early age and decided to pursue her musical career by coming to LA in 2013. She graduated with an A.A in Drum Performance from the Los Angeles College of Music. She holds a Certificate in Music Theory and Composition from Berklee Online and is currently furthering her studies there. 

Karen has over a decade of experience playing with a live band. She has played a lot around LA with her former band “Trends” and is still playing with different artists. 

Karen hopes to inspire the next generation of music students by bringing a practical approach to teaching.

Matt Rappold - Guitar, Ukulele, Bass, Music Production, Piano

Matthew Rappold is a guitarist and composer with nearly a decade of experience teaching beginner to advanced guitar. Matt plays Pop, Rock, Jazz, Country and loves to riff rhythm parts and improvise lead parts. 

Matt became passionate about music at an early age, and after studying jazz at Indiana University and then George Mason, Matt moved to NYC where he worked as a guitarist and composer, and also in music publishing.

Matt is now building his career in LA, and hopes to help students develop lifelong relationships with music and their instruments!

Troy Tyrer - Guitar, Ukulele, Bass, Music Production

Troy is a dedicated and experienced music teacher. He has been teaching private music lessons for 8 years on multiple instruments including guitar, electric bass, and ukulele. Troy is also a music producer and teaches music production using Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Garage Band, and Pro Tools.

He has a Bachelors in Music Performance and a Minor in Jazz Studies from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va, where he studied classical guitar with Larry Snitzler. He has performed in Los Angeles, Washington DC, and New York City on both guitar and electric bass.
